Amber Morris & Kelly Moore
Iowa CityHAWKEYE MOMENT
My best Hawkeye moments would be growing up going to women’s basketball games growing up, tailgating with all of my friends and parents, and watching Tony Ramos win the national wrestling title at 133lbs. – Jill Frantz, ICM
about the artist
Amber graduated with a BA in Painting and Art History and Kelly graduated with a BA in Elementary Education & Early Childhood Development with an Art minor. When not working at The Iowa Children’s Museum, Amber and Kelly can be found making, sewing, stitching, painting, collaging, drawing, filming, and mending. Their Herky was inspired by the current trend to use bold color combinations and geometric shapes.
BEHIND THE DESIGN
We love color and we couldn’t choose just one, so we put them all on Technicolor Herky. We also primarily listened to pop ’80’s music for color blocking inspiration. – Amber Morris
