One of my favorite Hawkeye moments was the goal line stand against Syracuse back in 2008 I believe. I remember watching that game and being so excited to see stop after stop. For Lucky Pawz, anytime the Hawkeyes are considered underdogs would have to our favorite moments. We love to see that “dog” come out and get a victory. “Herk Dog” is for all those memorable underdog Hawkeye moments. – Jim Kelly

BEHIND THE DESIGN
By the look of this statue, you would think we’d have Dogs on Parade! Jim used rubber for Herk Dog’s ears and added a stiff, long tail to transform this statue. His Iowa collar very appropriately reads, “If found, please return to Kinnick stadium.”
