My first season as a regular visitor to Kinnick began in 1981 with an electrifying win over Nebraska. Bill Brashier’s defense and Reggie Roby’s foot helped Iowa prevail 10-7 over a Cornhusker team that ended the season playing for a National title. I remember getting goose bumps looking up at the scoreboard and seeing that score as the clock melted away. Iowa ended the season with another memorable win over Michigan State and earned a berth in the 1982 Rose Bowl. Yes, 1981 was a very good year!! -Duane Tack
