Cody Ash, Alyssa Peters & Shannon Torphy

Denver, CO

Our favorite Hawkeye moment would be the final play of the 2005 Capital One Bowl when quarterback Drew Tate completed a 56-yard pass to wide receiver Warren Holloway for a touchdown as time expired and the Iowa Hawkeyes defeated the LSU Tigers 30-25.

about the artist

Cody graduated with a BA degree with a graphic design emphasis from the University of Iowa in 2001.He was an artist for several sculptures for the original Herky on Parade. Cody has worked for Monigle Associates, a branding firm in Denver, Colorado for the past 6 years, but stays connected to his Iowa roots by creating designs for events like FRY fest and granGABLE.

Alyssa graduated from the University of Iowa with a BFA in graphic design. She has worked at AOR, an advertising agency in Denver, Colorado for the past 3 years but also designs and programs websites for Herky on Parade, FRY fest, and granGABLE.

Shannon grew up in Colorado, but is a fan of Iowa after participating in the 2011 RAGBRAI. She is currently in school studying graphic design and loved the opportunity to put her sewing skills to work on the 2014 Herkys.

Hawks love their athletic teams – especially football. Coach Herky is game ready with his headset and khakis, leading his team to the victory.
